What is Alabaster Fund?
Collected in Nazarene churches globally twice a year in September and February, the Alabaster Offering provides funds for church property and buildings around the world. These buildings provide a sense of permanence--the attitude that the Church of the Nazarene intends to "put down roots" in a community.

Eighty percent of the money given is used in world mission areas, and 20 percent goes to multicultural congregations in the United States and Canada.

Alabaster funds help provide land for most Work & Witness projects. The entire offering goes toward the construction of churches, schools, medical facilities, and homes for missionaries and national workers.

Since the Alabaster Offering first began in 1949, Nazarenes have funded:

• 3,722 churches and chapels
• 386 Bible schools and school buildings
• 469 mission and district centers
• 36 hospitals and clinics
• 1,445 pieces of land.

From 1949 to 2008, Nazarenes have sacrificially given $89,294,000 (USD) to the Alabaster Offering.
